Previous Campaigns

Yeovil Hospital Charity has run several large appeals that have given South Somerset new facilities that continue to make a difference for patients. Yeovil has a state-of-the-art Special Care Baby Unit thanks to the charity’s Flying Colours Appeal and a second CT scanner was installed thanks to the CT Scanner Appeal. We also ran a campaign to replace all of the chemotherapy chairs in the oncology and haematology day unit.

We use the donations we receive every day to buy life-saving equipment, such as scanners, monitors, incubators and resuscitation equipment. We also help to modernise and refurbish parts of the hospital so that patients can have more privacy and be treated in a better environment. Some of our work is about going that extra mile to make a stay in hospital more enjoyable. This includes things like; music on the wards, toys and games for children, art around the hospital and wellbeing activities for cancer patients.
